Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and PitchSide Footy ("we", "us") about your use of pitchsidefooty.us (the "site"). By creating an account or using the site, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

1. Who can use the site

• You must be 13 or older to create an account.
• If you're under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission to use the site and to buy anything on it.
• One person, one account. You're responsible for everything done with your account, so keep your password safe and tell us if you think someone else has used it.

2. Playing fair and being decent

When you use the site, including chat, usernames, league names, pictures and logos, you agree not to:

• harass, bully, threaten or abuse anyone, or post hateful content about anyone's race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexuality, disability or nationality;
• post sexual, violent or otherwise inappropriate content, or anything illegal;
• pretend to be someone else, or share anyone's personal information without their permission;
• spam, advertise, or post scams or harmful links;
• cheat, including using more than one account to claim rewards, exploiting bugs, or using scripts or bots to play;
• try to break, overload or get around the site's security, or get at other people's accounts or data;
• buy, sell or trade accounts, coins or items for real money or anything else outside the site.

You can report a chat message with the report button next to it. We may remove content, change names, take away coins or items gained by cheating, and suspend or delete accounts that break these rules, with or without warning.

3. What you post

You keep ownership of what you post. You give us permission to store it, show it to other players and use it to run the site, for as long as it's on the site. You confirm that you have the right to post it, for example that a picture you upload is yours to share.

4. Coins and items

• Coins, shop items, badges, titles and other in-game items are for fun on the site only. They have no cash value and can't be exchanged for money, sold or transferred outside the site.
• You get a licence to use them on the site, not ownership. We may change, rebalance or retire items, prices and rewards.
• If your account is deleted, by you or by us, its coins and items are gone too.

5. Purchases

• Prices are shown in US dollars before you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe.
• Coins and Premium are added to your account as soon as the payment goes through.
• All purchases are final. Coins and Premium can't be refunded, except where the law requires it.
• If you dispute a payment with your bank or card issuer, we take back the coins it paid for, the items bought with them, and the Premium it paid for.

6. Premium: automatic yearly renewal

• Premium is a yearly subscription that renews automatically. When you buy it, you agree that we'll charge the card you used the price shown when you bought it (currently $9.99 a year, in US dollars) on the same date each year, until you cancel.
• We'll tell you before any price change takes effect, and you can cancel before it applies to you.
• You can cancel any time, online, in a few clicks: go to Shop › Coins & Premium › Manage membership and cancel. You don't need to contact us.
• When you cancel, you keep Premium until the end of the year you've already paid for, and you won't be charged again. We don't give refunds for the rest of a year you've already paid for.
• If a renewal payment fails, Premium ends at the end of your paid year.
• Deleting your account cancels your renewal straight away.

7. Not affiliated with any league or club

PitchSide Footy is an independent, unofficial game for fans. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the Premier League, UEFA, any football league or any club. Club, league and competition names and crests belong to their owners and are used only to identify the teams and competitions. Football data and player photos are supplied by API-Football.

Results, scores and statistics come from outside sources and can be late or wrong. We do our best to fix mistakes, but we can't promise every score will be right, and leaderboards may change when we correct them.

8. No gambling

PitchSide Footy is a free-to-play game for fun. There are no cash prizes and nothing you win on the site has real-world value. Don't use the site for betting or wagers with other players.

9. Deleting your account, and our ending it

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if we have to by law, or if we stop running the site. If we stop running the site, we'll give notice on the site where we reasonably can.

10. The site is provided "as is"

We work hard to keep PitchSide Footy running well, but we provide it "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will always be available, error-free or secure, and we're not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, coins or items. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total responsibility to you for anything to do with the site is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50, whichever is more. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we do, we'll change the date at the top, and if a change is significant, we'll let you know on the site before it takes effect. If you keep using the site after a change, you're agreeing to the new terms.
